چکیده
Shape measurement plays an important role in the condition monitoring and operation control of inflatable rubber dams. This article presents a method to measure cross-sectional shape dam using array inertial units (IMUs) placed on circumference dam. Accelerometer gyroscope measurements are combined adaptive complementary filter determine tangent angles circumference. The adjusts weights accelerometer dynamically order reduce uncertainty orientation estimation due external acceleration under dynamic conditions. A natural cubic spline that interpolates measured at discrete locations is used represent along as continuous function arc length. Finally, reconstructed by integrating angle Experimental assessment system was performed purpose-built test rig digital camera reference measuring device. Results typical static show shapes agree well with each other, similarity index being 3.74%, mismatch distance last IMU node 12.3 mm, relative error height −2.44%. Under conditions, results deteriorate acceleration, but considerable improvement achieved comparison accelerometer-only approach. In addition, elimination faulty nodes from reconstruction has negligible influence results, suggesting enjoys high degree fault tolerance.

With the increase in the number of smart phone users worldwide there comes a high demand for smart phone based location systems. Within the project “Indoor positioning using inertial measurement units” an android application has been developed wherein the position of the smart phone user with respect to the floor environment is determined. This has been achieved using the smart phone sensors st...
متن کاملAn application of Measurement error evaluation using latent class analysis
Latent class analysis (LCA) is a method of evaluating non sampling errors, especially measurement error in categorical data. Biemer (2011) introduced four latent class modeling approaches: probability model parameterization, log linear model, modified path model, and graphical model using path diagrams. These models are interchangeable. Latent class probability models express l...
متن کاملImproving Accuracy of Inertial Measurement Units using Support Vector Regression
Inertial measurement unit (IMU) is a sensor that measures acceleration and angular velocity rate. It has become increasingly popular due to its small size and low cost comparing to typical marker-based motion capture system. Nonetheless, IMUs face considerable challenges, in particular noticeable inaccuracy from accumulated integration errors. In this project, we attempted to improve accuracy o...
